Work on the new International Walldog Mural and Sign Art Museum is underway.  The interior has been cleaned and repainted.  The museum's opening is planned for May 1, 2010.  The museum will be dedicated to the preservation, history, and legacy of the "walldogs" who painted outdoor advertising signs across the midwest and the rest of the nation.  Support for the museum has come from many sectors, including the modern Walldogs - the group of man and women artists and sign painters who came to Pontiac last summer and painted 18 new outdoor murals in the downtown area.  For more information, contact: Ellie Alexander, Director of Tourism (815) 844-5847 or email her at:  tourism@pontiac.org.
